Do I have to wear a dress?Yes, all attendees, irrespective of age, gender identity, or sexual orientation, are expected to wear a red dress or a dress-like garment/outfit. We acknowledge that a traditional dress may not suit everyone, so we provide some flexibility. Two-piece outfits, like a skirt or kilt paired with a top, are acceptable, but it's essential that the entire ensemble is predominantly red (more than 75%). This requirement symbolizes our unity and compassion for those affected by HIV/AIDS. When everyone comes in a red dress it no longer matters who you are, how you identify, etc. just that we are all there to support our community.
-
Do I have to come in drag? No, dressing in drag is not mandatory, but if you'd like to, you're more than welcome to do so. While Red Dress Fest is not specifically a drag event, you might encounter some fabulous drag queens enjoying themselves at the event. Similarly, Red Dress Fest encourages everyone to be bold, have fun, and join in the celebration.
